Clarissa Pruden, General Manager for Playtime Casino Kelowna, was joined by Gateway’s CEO, Tony Santo, His Honorable Mayor Colin Basran, and BCLC’s CEO, Jim Lightbody as they cut the ribbon and commemorated the opening of Kelowna’s spectacular new entertainment destination.

Gateway proudly announced that the Playtime Casino Kelowna employees selected Karis Support Society as the charity partner for their Grand Opening. For the month of March, portions of the sites’ food and beverage sales will be donated to Karis in support of the important work that they do in the Kelowna community to empower and equip women, and women with children, in need, with the skills that they need to successfully transition back in to society.

The celebrations continue this evening, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, on the casino floor and are featuring hot seat draws every hour for $100 and $50 gift certificates, a chance in the whirlwind machine for an opportunity to win a share of $1,000 cash, popcorn and cake is being served in the lounge at 7pm, and there is live entertainment to ensure that the festive atmosphere is felt throughout the casino.

Located in the Delta Grand Hotel on the shores of Okanagan Lake, Playtime Casino Kelowna, a $3.6 Million renovation of the Lake City Casino, is the first of Gateway’s new signature casino brand – Playtime Casino. The facility has been transformed into a fun and exciting new local entertainment destination that boasts food and beverage offerings that are incomparable to the old facility. The renovation of the site has also seen the addition of over 50 jobs to the team, bringing the Playtime Casino Kelowna employee count to over 270 team members.
